        Verdict

        Recent winners Samuel Charles, Dapple Dawn and Lopinot may fight out the finish here and we will side with the last named. Peter Makin's charge couldn't have been any more impressive when landing his maiden. He won eased down by seven lengths from a horse rated 69. He gets in here on a mark of 70 and so he has an obvious chance of following up that victory. Samuel Charles won a claimer from the reliable Rafferty over course and distance and looks on a decent mark back in handicap company. Dapple Dawn steps up in trip after winning overWolverhampton's seven furlongs. She is a bit of a quirky sort but it shouldn't stop her going close again this afternoon. The pick of the remainder could be Kabeer, but Lopinot may be well ahead of the handicapper and he gets our confident vote.
