Verdict

Belvedere Vixen is the token choice in a very difficult maiden, Macademy Royal, Scarlet Heart and Ceredig are all capable of taking a hand in the finsih. Mark Wallace's filly is dropping down to the minimum trip for the first time and judged on her last effort it should suit. Over six last time she was well there at the two furlong pole and only gave way in the last 200 yards. If ridden the same this afternoon she should go very close. Macademy Royal chased home the 73 rated Cool Sting last season and has to be a danger if fit on his return. Scarlet Heart chased home the unbeaten Halsion Chancer over course and distance last time out and has to be a contender on that performance. Ceredig is one of the more exposed runners in the field but has plenty of ability and should be in the shake up. So a wide open contest, but we believe the drop in trip should benefit Belvedere Vixen and she gets our vote.
