In depth

Verdict

Definite Class landed a Wexford bumper in good style in October and will have come on for a fair effort in a strong maiden hurdle won by Tornedo Shay at Gowran a month later. Point-to-point winner Evesham Star is a specialist on heavy ground and though just outpaced over 2m4f at Clonmel will attempt to make this a test of stamina. That should suit MAGGIE CONNOLLY, whose three runs at around this trip have been in very strong maiden company and she hasn't been beaten far in any of them. What An Flyer looked a much improved performer when landing a Cork bumper and is a likely type for hurdling. Catcherinscratcher made a very good impression with her attitude to land a mares' Listed bumper at Navan and is one to look forward to over timber.
