After landing a Tramore maiden on heavy ground on New Year's Day, SAMBREMONT couldn't cope with the step-up to Grade 2 company at Thurles. Back in novice company he looks the one to be on. Lord Scoundrel is going well enough but keeps climbing the weights without winning while Velocity Boy was a long way behind Bosman Rule at Cork in January. The latter could still make progress though the fact that Ruby Walsh chooses the selection swings things his way. Rogue Trader found 2m4f much too far on his hurdling debut before a very impressive victory at Navan so he's definitely one to keep an eye on but Egyptian Warrior hasn't been seen since October and may find the ground too soft.
