Verdict

Bois De Clamart was in excellent form on heavy ground in the spring so the more rain the better but PINKERTON (NAP) made a winning debut over hurdles at Thurles in January and has reappeared with two fine runs in strong handicaps. He looks the one to beat though Elusive Guy had shown potential in bumpers before making a successful hurdling debut here last month. Longhouse Poet ran well when sixth in the Grand National but pulled up on his reappearance at Punchestown last month. Navan bumper winner Summer Melody didn't jump with any fluency on his hurdling bow on the same track but only weakened from the last and will have come on plenty for the experience.
