Verdict

Gerri Colombe, unbeaten in six starts including a point-to-point, was impressive in beating a strong field on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse. However, he's never run in Listed or Group contests and takes on a trio of Willie Mullins' entries headed by KILCRUIT. A brilliant bumper, he mainly disappointed over timber but looked a natural over the bigger obstacles on his chasing debut at Punchestown. His stable also run Adamantly Chosen, unbeaten in two starts over fences before put in his place behind Mighty Potter in the Drinmore at Fairyhouse, and Authorized Art, who finished just in front of him having earlier completed a hat-trick.
