Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer Trendelenburg appeared to need every yard of 2m6f when scoring at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and the shorter trip allied to a 7lb rise makes life tougher. It was only a maiden that GOBAN SAOR won at Tramore last time but the manner of his victory suggested there is much more to come from Edward O'Grady's charge. This is a stiffer task with recent Thurles runner-up The Breathalyser a major threat, though he should be up to it. Muzak sneaks into the bottom of the handicap and it's about time he was losing his maiden tag though heavy ground could be a problem. Away We Go has been chasing but his handicap mark over timber is 27lb lower and he can probably improve.
