In depth

Verdict

XPECTATIONS attracted good support on her debut at Fairyhouse and found only the odds-on Marinero too strong. That was a very good effort and she can go one better. Pace And Passion showed the benefit of her opening run with a much improved effort at Roscommon where she found only Barnahash Rose too good. She should improve again while Thats Nice has been getting closer and wasn't headed until close home over 2m4f at Roscommon. Sheamus could provide the main threat as he made an excellent debut behind Alton Bay at Ballinrobe and the winner has since gained a facile victory over timber. Captain Carleton didn't enjoy soft ground last time and is better judged on his earlier run over hurdles.
