In depth

Verdict

Desert Roe is definitely improving and hasn't been beaten far in his last two starts where he's been staying on over slightly shorter. He's well enough handicapped and should get into the frame but it's difficult to avoid TOP CHIEF. Gordon Elliott's charge has struck form in no uncertain terms and comes here with a 4lb penalty for Friday's victory at Kilbeggan. He's been raised 10lb in the ratings so it's no surprise to see connections running him again and he should complete a hat-trick. Lord Of Isenay had some strong form last season and reverts to hurdles after falling on his chasing bow at Roscommon last month while Bonifacio is rarely beaten far in this sort of grade and can make his presence felt.
