Verdict

SACCHOANDVANZETTI showed plenty of potential in his first season including a 1l defeat by Japan at Listowel though he didn't really make the expected progress. He reappeared with a fast-finish second behind Ducky Mallon over 7f at Fairyhouse and can go one better. Pepperoni Pete went up 4lb for scoring at Cork and was well supported at Gowran but didn't really get the run of the race and looks a threat with his rider able to claim 10lb. Tintoretto was behind the latter here in April and looks held and though Passing Trade is consistent enough he's been beaten regularly from this sort of mark since scoring at Bellewstown last summer.
