A Place Apart ran very well when third over a trip too short at Leopardstown last month and his two subsequent runs have been over fences. Winning hurdler Give Battle is 0-14 on the Flat but his close fourth to subsequent winner Allora Yeats at Bellewstown was a good effort. LALIPOUR sprung a surprise at Navan and was expected to run well at Bellewstown despite a 7lb rise but never really got going. His trainer is in outstanding form and he can get back on track. Dual hurdles winner Penny Out has found 1m4f too short in her last two starts having won a handicap hurdle on very testing ground here in October so further rain would enhance her claims.
