In depth

Verdict

Fever Pitch won a Tramore maiden hurdle in the spring but should do better over fences and he looks to have more scope than stablemate Claragh Native. Tico had several of today's rivals behind when was just touched off by Lismakeery at Wexford two weeks ago and will again be partnered by the in-form Paul Townend. He seems sure to go close again while Odonimee was third on her chasing bow at Punchestown and is likely to improve for the experience. But the vote goes to ROCKYABOYA, who has a chasing pedigree and has already won between the flags. He was successful over 2m7f over timber at Downpatrick in September but just beaten over 2m at Cork in July so isn't short of pace and will have had plenty of schooling over the larger obstacles.
