Knights Templar has won three times already this summer and has scored from higher marks than this in the past so has to be considered. Northern Surprise was receiving 8lb from Oor Jock when beating him narrowly at Tipperary in July so the latter should take his revenge on the revised terms, though it's a long time since he actually won a race. APACHE GOLD has been running well all summer and showed his liking for some give in the ground when scoring over 6f at Cork for which a 3lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a double. Avalanche can't get his head in front but has dropped to his lowest-ever mark as a consequence and, with ground conditions and the trip in his favour, he is definitely on the short-list. The lightly-raced and progressive Miss Youngs can prove best of the remainder.
