A competitive opener but not many are proven over the trip on soft ground. Paddys Motorbike fits the bill but hasn't raced since winning at Leicester back in April and ARABIAN ILLUSION looks a safer bet. He won a maiden at Goodwood last month by over three lengths with a subsequent winner back in third and should make a bold bid. All of the other recent winners step up in distance including Arthenus, bidding for a hat-trick having won over a mile at Ascot last time. Mutasayyid won a Class 2 handicap at Ayr and that looks stronger form than Persun and Librisa Breeze have managed so far. Emerald is a maiden winner on fast ground over a mile but stablemate Azraff has looked in the handicapper's grip all season.
