In depth

Verdict

The four-year-old filly Alice Avril is interesting on her debut for Henry De Bromhead having won over hurdles in France and already having had a run over fences. Another from her age group, DRUID'S ALTAR, made a fine chasing debut at Clonmel when just failing to get to Arvico Bleu and with that experience under his belt can add to his Flat and hurdles victories. Whatsnotoknow would have a chance second to none on his second in a Thurles Grade 3 and his unplaced effort later came in a tough Fairyhouse handicap. Turnpike Trip had already made several mistakes before falling at Wexford but One Down jumped well in the lead over this trip at Kilbeggan and was only headed in the closing stages.
