Verdict

Tudor City won the Galway Hurdle for the second time in the summer and has turned in big performances throughout his career, though needs to get over a couple of poor recent runs. Stablemate Niburu also disappointed in the latter of those races after getting up close home to land a competitive Down Royal handicap. Another from the yard, MARVEL FAN (NAP), looked like winning at Thurles last week but was caught on the line by New Ross, who was receiving 9lb. He can gain compensation though Watch House Cross won at this meeting last year and battled to victory in a strong Naas handicap last time. One Last Tango is in superb form and a 10lb rise for completing a double at Wexford isn't insurmountable. Winter Fog, runner-up in a 3m handicap at the fixture a year ago, makes his debut for Willie Mullins over this considerably shorter trip.
