In depth

Verdict

AUPCHARLIE, third in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, made an inauspicious start over timber when only third in a Thurles maiden last month but he looked in need of the experience that day and should have come on enough to take this. The Way We Were made a promising racecourse debut in a maiden hurdle at Naas in February and had a spin in a Wexford bumper a month ago when beaten into second despite starting odds-on. That should have put him straight and he's an obvious danger as is Espresso Lady, a bumper winner at Navan in March before losing her position badly when running very wide at Fairyhouse earlier this month.
