Verdict
Winning point-to-pointer and hurdler Visionarian won a Galway Grade 3 on just his second start over fences before bumping into a smart one in a Punchestown Grade 3 where he had Midnight Run, who was receiving 7lb, just over a length behind. The latter has gone on to land a Grade 2 on the latter track in very impressive style. The four-year-old FIL DOR spent much of last season chasing the brilliant Vauban in Grade 1 hurdles though had completed a hat-trick earlier including a Grade 2 on this card. He was conceding the smart Brazil 9lb when beaten at Naas but didn't put a foot wrong on his chasing debut at Navan when he had the very useful Saint Roi four lengths behind and is the one to beat. His stable companion Hollow Games, twice placed in Grade 1's over hurdles, was also impressive on his chasing bow at Navan and will find any flaws in the likely favourite's armoury.
