Verdict

FAMOUS NAME has won this for the past two years, both time at odds-on, and unless Native Khan can make major progress Dermot Weld's charge can complete the hat-trick. He had John Oxx' colt 7l behind in a similar contest at the Curragh at the beginning of the month and though the latter, a close fifth in last year's Epsom Derby, should improve for the run he's unlikely to turn the tables. Windsor Palace was just behind Native Khan at the Curragh and hardly appears likely to reverse the places. Defining Year can prove best of the remaining trio without threatening the selection.
