Roger Varian’s Masaarr travels well as he proved when landing a Listed race in France last month. He’s preferred to another UK raider in Escobar but though Threeandfourpence and St Patrick's Day are nothing special among the Ballydoyle ranks they are both capable at this level. Zorion won a Listed contest over track and trip earlier but last month’s Group 3 winner Xenobia was well beaten on a previous attempt at a mile. ZIHBA (NAP) made little impression in the Irish 2000 Guineas last time but had beaten Pincheck to win a similar Group 3 over course and distance in May. He’s also preferred to On The Go Again and should make a bold bid.
