Massinga started odds-on for a Galway maiden over 1m4f a fortnight ago and duly obliged. The fourth has come out and won subsequently but this is a big drop in trip for Dermot Weld's filly. SEA COAST has found her form and though possibly unsuited by soft ground at Cork she did it nicely and it looks as there's more to come so she's handed the verdict. Laviniad keeps coming up against in-form rivals but was tried over 1m4f last time and may find this on the short side. Irish Reel was on a long losing run before bouncing back in no uncertain terms at Roscommon. She'll enjoy the soft ground better than most and though 9lb higher she can still make her presence felt.

Sea Coast (IRE) 9-4fav (9-7) Held up last, travelled well into 3rd 2 1/2f out, 2nd and pushed along 2f out, ridden into lead 1 1/2f out, narrow advantage and driven inside final furlong, kept on best, won at Cork 1m fll hcp beating Antique Platinum (9-7) by 1/2l, 5 ran.
