In depth

Verdict

Atlas, a close fourth in this last year, has gained both career victories on Turf on this track and his rider's claim puts him in the picture. Plum Perfect got off the mark in a Dundalk maiden in March and is still looking reasonably treated but Passing Trade has only won once but is so consistent at this level the assessor is unable to drop her in the ratings. MIRACLES IN MAY finished close up in three Curragh handicaps in the autumn and reappeared to score at Dundalk. He just failed to overcome a 7lb rise when runner-up to Nordic Passage a few weeks later but races off the same mark and gets the vote. Paris Duvet was four lengths behind in that latter event but Jack Berry House easily won a Wolverhampton claimer in February and has joined a yard perfectly capable of exploiting his lowly mark.
