Baraweez won this in 2014 from exactly the same mark and almost identical stall position. He'd arrived having won at Galway but was just beaten by a stable companion this year and has subsequently run two excellent races in tough handicaps. Richard Fahey is double handed and Stamp Hill arrives in brilliant form having won a major handicap at Ascot with his stable companion Withernsea, who is 7lb better off, not far behind in third. Burnt Sugar is yet another raider from Yorkshire and though he's been running well a strike-rate of 1-31 on Turf doesn't inspire confidence. If this is to stay at home then Silverkode may well be the answer as he's improved dramatically to complete a hat-trick though will need to step-up again from 11lb higher. TEMPERA, who won a maiden here in October, didn't reappear until late last month when producing a very fair effort in a Group 3 at Tipperary so she could be a blot on this handicap and gets the vote.
