Real Appeal won this a year ago, one of three course victories. He wasn't at his best in the Group 3 Amethyst Stakes here last month which was won in good style by Pretreville. The latter, a recruit from France, has gone from strength to strength for Ado McGuinness and will take some beating but this hasn't been a bad race for three-year-olds and Ger Lyons has won it twice with horses of that age. He has two entries here with Colin Keane choosing DR ZEMPF over Straight Answer. The former, a Listed winner over the course and distance in April, didn't handle stepping up to a mile at the Curragh and can return to winning ways. Thunder Moon finished a length behind Pretreville at Dundalk in January.
