Chinese Light, who started favourite when third behind Legatissimo on her debut at Galway last July, has been very disappointing subsequently. Dalmatia was placed in a Grade 3 over hurdles during the winter and had some decent form on the level for Sir Michael Stoute. Locus Standi will undoubtedly improve for his run at Killarney but Aidan O'Brien has a powerful hand to play with the newcomers PROSPECTOR and Hallmark. The latter is related to a couple of winners but it's the former, a $1.4m son of Galileo and a half-brother to Mastercraftsman and numerous other winners, who catches the eye though the lack of any major entries is a concern.
