Dermot Weld won this four times in succession before Aidan O'Brien took the last two. The latter is represented by the very progressive FIELDS OF ATHENRY, who demolished a field of Listed-class performers with an all-the-way victory here last month. He's in the betting for several major races including the St Leger and should continue his stable's winning sequence in the event. Dermot Weld saddles the progressive Edelpour, a comfortable winner of his last two races though both were on testing going. He's superbly bred and it wouldn't be a great shock if her were to upset the likely favourite. Certerach was well behind the selection here last time but that was his first start since October though he's likely to find this on the short side. Morning Mix is another with plenty of big race entries and Jim Bolger's colt was a very impressive winner over 1m2f at the Curragh despite the trip looking on the short side.
