Verdict

CAPTAINS NEPHEW had only shown moderate form before an impressive victory at Clonmel. He has to concede weight all round but further progress can see him complete a double. Ideal Du Tabert will improve from last month's hurdling debut at Naas where he finished just over two lengths behind Purse Price. He can reverse the form with the latter, who had much more experience, but Della Casa Lunga looks a threat. She was only just behind Purse Price when both were placed at Gowran and had every chance when falling at the last in that Naas event. Listowel bumper winner My Gaffer looks best of John Ryan's pair.
