Changingoftheguard came here for his debut over the trip and started favourite despite Ryan Moore riding one who finished in front of him. Better must have been expected and normal progress could see a different performance. Chicago Soldier made his debut in a strong Curragh maiden then came here for the Group 3 Tyros Stakes over 7f where he ran better than his finishing position suggests. Mannix was only six lengths behind the top-class Point Lonsdale at the Curragh and didn't get the run of the race in what looked a strong event at Killarney next time while MCTIGUE really caught the eye at Galway last week and can make enough progress over this extra furlong to take this. Nero Tulip is a half-brother to three winners while World Famous is a son of Galileo and a half-brother to six winners.
