      Verdict

      Kaloor is hard to recommend but all of the remainder can be given a chance. Rainbow Jet may handle the soft ground better than recent course and distance winner Andaleep while Prince Of Harts is back on a winning mark. The progressive three-year-olds Arctic Emperor and Diffident Spirit both step up in trip and the latter won one of these events over a mile here last time but Serena Brotherton’s presence on BAD COMPANY may give him the edge. The leading lady rider has ridden the last two winners of this and Jim Boyle’s charge was beaten less than a length at Epsom last month.

      Bad Company 11-2 (9-11) Led, ridden over 1f out, edged left and headed inside final furlong, 4th of 9, 1/4l behind Miss Mulligan (10-0) at Epsom 1m 2f hcp (4) gd in Jul.

      Diffident Spirit 4-1 (10-5) Took keen hold, held up in rear, slightly detached 3f out, going well over 2f out, smooth headway 2f out, headed leader over 1f out, ran on well, easily, won at Newbury 1m hcp (5) gs in Jul beating Lockdown Dream (10-2) by 4 1/2l, 7 ran.
