There was plenty of promise in Athens' debut fourth over this trip at York but Aidan O'Brien's son of Dylan Thomas shaped as though he may already need a mile and is taken on here with AKEED MOFEED. Slowly away when fourth to Athens' stablemate Learn over C&D last month, John Oxx's charge will know more today and still holds entries in the National Stakes and the Racing Post Trophy. Roman General was third on his debut over C&D in June but hasn't been seen since, while Edge Of Sanity may need more time. Exhortation is likely to find this too sharp as Dermot Weld's newcomer has a middle-distance pedigree but he is certainly worth keeping an eye on with next season in mind.
