Upazo has been a short-priced beaten favourite in his three starts since arriving from France and looked very one-paced at Punchestown last time. OPERATING ran a fine race behind a couple of smart performers here at Christmas and with the slightly longer trip certain to be in his favour he looks the one to beat. Winning point-to-pointer Grey Monk has found the minimum trip too sharp on both starts over timber but has shown up well and looks likely to get into the mix along with Thunder And Roses, who has run well in two strong maidens over the track and trip recently. Mireya created a surprise when landing a Galway bumper in September though she had some reasonable form over hurdles previously.
