Verdict

PRIEST FIELD cannot sensibly be opposed here and may find that the hurdles are the only barrier to success. That said, the weights give him something to do to get the better of Toss The Caber and Roisin's Prince. Priest Field was having just his second start for Tim Vaughan when justifying market support in this company at Hereford. He encounters softer ground here but should be able to cope with it and it would be no surprise if there were more improvement to come. Roisin's Prince was well held at Ludlow but that was a more encouraging run than many he has posted of late and was his first since September and his first for a new yard; he may be able to build on it. Toss The Caber has been off for a while but did have a few runs on the level this summer; it's not easy to judge on the evidence as to whether he retains his old ability. The remainder are either exposed as moderate or will shortly confirm themselves to be so; Priest Field can take the honours.
