The going will be very testing on the hurdle track, so stamina will be at a premium. Amwell Star proved she handles these conditions when finishing third on her most recent outing here earlier this month. That wasn't a bad effort and she will be more at home over this trip, but she doesn't look good enough to win a novice and is passed over. Almnadia has no easy task under her penalty and has plenty to prove on this ground. Jonjo O'Neill has his string in fine form at present and Last Theatre looks certain to run well. The winner of five races on the flat in Ireland, she shaped with plenty of promise on her debut over hurdles at Stratford, despite not having the best of luck in running and will be difficult to keep out of the frame in this. The consistent Macnance deserves to get her head in front and certainly sets the standard here, but she faces a difficult task in trying to give the weight to the three-year-old Aberthatch, who impressed on her debut behind two useful ex-flat performers at Huntingdon last week. A modest maiden at best on the flat, she appeared to find plenty of improvement on her first run over timber, and there are no worries about the ground as she was runner-up as a juvenile on heavy ground at Newcastle. She is the TEAMtalk selection to overturn the likely favourite Macnance.
