This is a weak finale but three of these were beaten favourites last time. Broad Appeal should find this company less taxing and Wolverhampton second Singular Quest and Howardian Hills can’t be ignored. General Brook is on a roll but up another 5lb while Brighton scorer Careyanne couldn’t cope with a 5lb rise at Yarmouth and is another 2lb higher now. Theodore Ladd has won three times on AFFAIR and the combination was second over this trip at Lingfield last month. She’ll need a strong gallop but will likely be staying on in the closing stages so gets the nod. Dolphin Village, a course and distance winner, would have made short work of these in his prime but has rarely threatened since joining Shaun Harris.
