A visor has had a positive effect on a few of Brian Smart's juveniles of late so we'll take a chance that the headgear can transform the fortunes of POSTMAN. Clerk's Choice and Yeoman Blaze have done enough in qualifying for their marks to merit some scrutiny whilst Always There and West Leake are amongst those with more conventional claims. The form of the Smart yard has been touched upon in the preceding race which is a bonus for supporters of Postman. The son of Dr Fong shaped with plenty of promise on debut but failed to build on that in a fair race at York before trailing home on testing ground at Ayr. Consequently he has a good bit to prove but he's on a potentially decent mark if the headgear helps him to fulfil the form he showed on debut. Clerk's Choice and Yeoman Blaze are well worth considering if the market vibes are positive ahead of their nursery bows but Always There has already proved that she has solid credentials despite a below par performance at Sandown. West Leake went close at Great Leighs last time and should go well back on turf from just a 3lb higher mark whilst Taste The Wine also ran a little better than the bare facts suggest at Windsor and is another to bear in mind but our selection is Postman.
