    Verdict

The speedily bred If Paradise can put his experience to good use here and he is taken to help maintain Richard Hannon¿s 21 per cent strike-rate with his juveniles from this season. The son of Compton Place made a very respectable debut in a decent maiden at Salisbury earlier this month and a more accomplished display should be forthcoming with nominal improvement expected. Tentative, on pedigree, is the most interesting of the newcomers and it would be no surprise to see her go close at the first time of asking; the fact that Richard Hughes will be wearing the Abdulla silks is interesting enough to warrant a saver option if the prices permit. The usual cautious eye on the betting market is advised for the best clues on the rest.
