In depth

Verdict

A decent race in prospect and we like Sheriff Roscoe in preference to Double Intruder and Cathedral Rock. Sheriff Roscoe was controversially disqualified here when finishing first past the post in January but connections obviously don't bear any grudges and are back again in pursuit of prizes. He jumped well on that day and it was only a minor bump that saw him forfeit a share of the race. Double Intruder has to be respected as he looks a typically progressive Vic Dartnell sort. He showed solid form behind Sound Accord albeit on completely different ground to that we'll see this afternoon. Cathedral Rock is something of an unknown quantity on the ground. His ability can often be compromised by the tendancy to throw in the odd sloppy leap. Burren Legend has been well held this year and needs to find improvement to land this. Desert Tommy was rated in the mid-120's over hurdles but he is greatly flattered by that and does not in love with the game at all. The remainder look hard to make cases for. Sheriff Roscoe is due for compensation here.
