Deep Trouble, a useful hurdler, has clearly had training problems whilst Gentleman Jon and Ballyadeen need to improve on achievements so far. Doctor Harper has obvious claims receiving weight from the top three and has come up against Garde La Victoire and L'Ami Serge the last twice. He was far from disgraced when a five-length runner-up to the former at Taunton last time. He runs here in preference to Catterick on Wednesday and must go close but ON TOUR is a viable alternative who may offer better value too. A winner of both his chases, one on heavy ground, he's beaten useful sorts in Sirabad and Otago Trail and is taken to concede 10lb to the Pipe gelding in the hope he's spot-on for this first outing since November. Whatever his fate here, he's one to follow over fences.
