Barista's sole success to date came over five furlongs here but he stays this far and is respected along with Inca Blue, whose connections wasted no time in getting their horse a rating and it may prove one they can exploit. Our preference however is for MEDIPLOMAT, whose best effort to date came on his handicap debut at Salisbury when conditions were testing. The horse is excused a subsequent failure at Kempton and in the hope that a first-time visor works the oracle he's awarded the vote. Sky Diamond won a course-and-distance seller and on that must be considered, particularly as conditions will be ideal, but he needs to recover from a no-show at Nottingham. Mollyow is another fascinating handicap debutant who needs a market check, likewise Geronimo Chief and Mini's Destination, while the blinkered Scoglio is not dismissed.
