tracked leaders, chased winner after 4f, ridden over 2f out, never able to challenge
No getting away from the fact that PELIGROSSO is the best horse here and with that in mind hehas to get the vote. Granted Godolphin's runner hasn't fulfilled all of his promise but it doesn't hide that his form in Listed and Group company sets the standard so he is worth at least one more go. Via Galilei has the least to find but was behind the selection at Lingfield in May. Dakiyah will need to find plenty of improvement but will handle the ground which the selection might not while Nodforms Violet will need to be above average on debut. There are a few reason why Peligrosso might not win but he should.
Nodforms Violet (IRE) 5-2 (11-0) Tracked leader, challenged 3 out to next, soon ridden and one pace, no impression approaching last, 3rd of 6, 17l behind Baaher (10-4) at Perth 2m mdn hdl (4) gf in Jul.
Peligroso (FR) 8-1 (9-5) Led, increased tempo 6f out, reduced lead over 2f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, soon dropped to 3rd, weakened to 4th final 100 yards, 4th of 5, 8l behind Free Agent (9-2) at Salisbury 1m 6f cond Stakes (2) gf in Sep.
Via Galilei (IRE) 66-1 (9-3) Steadied and switched right start, held up last, struggling 3f out, 15th of 17, 13l behind Cill Rialaig (8-11) at Royal Ascot 1m 4f hcp 105 (2) gf in Jun.
Dakiyah (IRE) 8-1 (9-2) Chased leaders, ridden along 2f out, stayed on same pace, 3rd of 12, 6l behind Woolfall Treasure (10-0) at Salisbury 1m 6f hcp 0-95 (3) gs.
