Midnight Lace is taken to follow up, with Queue Up, Brave Chief and Tregarron all making for a close contest on paper. There are certainly plenty in with chances in this claimer, but Midnight Lace lines up in more form than most and with conditions in her favour, should make a bold bid to add to her recent Lingfield victory. The drop to this company worked the oracle that day, and with Chris Catlin on board again she should go close. Her ability to handle the ground is not in question either, as she ran well to finish a close fourth behind Bon Bon in a fillies' handicap at Doncaster in July. Queue Up produced his best effort when second at Southwell last time but might need further to open his account, while Brave Chief is forced to run in these type of events now as his rating rules him out of Banded races on the all-weather. He should run well though along with Tregarron who caught the eye when staying on in softish ground at Brighton. For the winner we return to Midnight Lace.
