A decent handicap next and the vote goes to UDABAA who can hopefully see off a nice field and go in ahead of Sierra Alpha and Mr. Irons. The selection seems to be a real progressive sort over a mile but today's trip should bring out even more improvement. He was outpaced at Kempton when winning 21 days ago but rallied gamely and bravely to get up close home. The handicapper couldn't go too mad with that victory and a mark of 80 seems workable. His trainer is two from six here in recent seasons which is another positive so a big run is expected. Amanda Perrett has won two of the last five runnings of this event and looks to have another live chance with Sierra Alpha. The son of Dansili ran a nice race on his seasonal debut when clearly not loving the softer conditions. Today's sounder surface should help see him in better light and is another that can go well. Mr. Irons was very disappointing 38 days ago but represents top connections so must be respected but Udabaa gets the nod in a nice race.
