      Verdict

      STAR START avoids a penalty for scoring by 14 lengths in an apprentice race at Doncaster on Saturday so a quick double looks on the cards. Corporate Raider, a winner at Yarmouth in June, has struggled there the last twice but Metric made a promising handicap debut on fast going at Lingfield and looks next best with the remainder making little appeal.
