Party Ploy can defy a penalty to beat Tiger Frog, Tender Falcon and Aoninch. Party Ploy has been a model of consistency this season, scoring no less than three times since the start of June. Darren Williams gave Karl Burke's six-year-old a clever ride at Ayr the time before last, dictating a slow pace before quickening up in the straight and holding on well from Spree Vision. He has only been creeping up the handicap so a five-pound penalty is not harsh, and in this small field, he can make a bold bid to go one better than when second at Ripon four days . Tiger Frog also carries the same penalty after winning at Hamilton on what was his first outing on the Flat for two years. He looks the main danger, along with Tender Falcon who will find this easier than at Ascot. He was successful over the course and distance the time before so should not be left out of calculations. Aoninch produced a storming finish at Salisbury, just failing to overhaul Jack Of Trumps, and if that was no flash in the pan, he too can go well. All in all, a close contest on paper, that can go the way of Party Ploy.
