Inside Story has been plying his trade in sellers of late and would not appear to be particularly well treated back in a handicap today in a race where Summer Lodge is taken to gain a deserved success ahead of Robeson. The last mentioned has shown signs of ability but remains a maiden and may be best watched. Emotive is gradually coming back down to a fair mark but has given little sign for encouragement of late, while Roya is probably better than his latest start at Chepstow would suggest but is another that has yet to win a race. In a contest where very few have claims on recent evidence, the vote goes to Summer Lodge. The Mark Tompkins-trained gelding has been knocking on the door of late and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account.
