7.30 A decent handicap is next on the agenda and the vote goes to BUDDY HOLLY who can hopefully defy his six lbs mandatory penalty ahead of Feathered Crown and Silent Oasis. Pat Eddery's son of Reel Buddy won a very average affair three days ago but it was the manner of his victory that impressed. He scooted up the Newmarket hill by two lengths and looks to be progressing. The handicapper will surely raise him more than six lbs for his latest victory so the horse could technically be well in. Feathered Crown is from a yard in a rich vein of form and this race looks easier than the one he contested 30 days ago. He has plenty of ability but his enthusiastic style of running often means there is little left in the locker at the business end of the race. He must learn to settle and if he does he will go close. A strong market check on Silent Oasis is advised as he returns from a break. A mark of 72 looks very workable considering some of the races he ran last year but he will do well to win this after a winter break. Others to note are Iron Out and Slip but Buddy Holly gets the nod.
