A breathing operation seems to have improved Battlefield Bob, who won a maiden over this trip at North Carlton last month under George Greenock. He has to go on the short-list in this low-key contest along with Louis Pasteur, who hinted at ability over hurdles last year for Nick Mitchell and won an Irish point-to-point as a four-year-old. But we like the look of WHAT OF IT, who beat a decent sort in In Media Res under a well-judged ride at Charing at the end of last month and has travelled up from Kent for this. Cousin John is probably the pick of the remainder, though things haven't gone to plan so far this year.
