PRINCESS LOULOU was wearing a hood for the first time when scooting home by nine lengths on soft ground at Thirsk and with conditions in her favour has to be the selection. Princess Of Orange has been competing at a high level all season after winning a Newmarket handicap last August and this represents a drop in class. She's also won on soft ground, as has Beautiful View who has had very little racing but gives the impression there's more to come. Trapeze gained her only success on heavy going at Salisbury a year ago but hasn't made the expected progress, finishing last of 26 in the Listed Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot the last time she ran though there was probably something amiss.
