Verdict

Kettlewell has won a couple of novice events at Stratford lately but doesn't look particularly well handicapped here. Makari is interesting, however, as he goes well fresh and should have more to offer after just three starts over timber. Not Til Monday won at Stratford and Fakenham in the spring, though both races were sellers. But he does act on soft ground, as does Mr Lando who is fit from the Flat. ZAFRANAGAR used to be with the latter's trainer, Tony Carroll, but is now handled by Ian Williams. The eight-year-old is very leniently treated on his first start for his new yard, who won this last year, and could pop up at decent odds as the maiden Daliance is still creeping up the weights.
