Henryhudsonbridge was taking on three smart performers on his debut at Epsom and started 50/1 so it was no surprise that he finished last. He'll be better for the run and the opposition here isn't as strong. Midtech Star showed good pace on soft ground at Thirsk before weakening and was well supported on his next start at Wolverhampton where he duly obliged. Johnny Barnes was impeded when about to challenge in a four-runner event at Goodwood but didn't pick up when asked and it was a very moderate maiden he won at Yarmouth. DOUGAL will be having his first start over the trip but wasn't stopping over an extended 6f at Doncaster when an excellent fourth in a massively endowed sales race. He'd previously run in Group company after his early season victories and can add this to his tally.
